Live Well Program

Please check back periodically to see when we will offer this program again!

Looking for a new lease on life? Want to age successfully and in comfort? Do you want to be a take-charge kind of person? Then Live Well is right for you!

Live WellThe Westport Weston Health District offers Live Well, a free six session workshop at the Westport Center for Senior Activities.

Live Well is underwritten by a Preventive Health Grant from the CT Department of Public Health.

Live Well is facilitated by specially trained leaders, and provides opportunities for interaction and group problem solving related to common issues experienced by most people living with health concerns or conditions. “We are more like coaches”, says Monica Wheeler, Community Health Director at WWHD, a facilitator of the Live Well Program. “The answer to someone’s question usually comes from the participants in the room.”

Each week participants get the support they need to enhance their lives, find practical ways to deal with stress, anxiety, and pain, discover better nutrition and exercise choices, understand new treatment choices, and learn better ways to talk with doctors and family about health concerns.

So whatever your health concerns – diabetes, weight, cholesterol, blood pressure, arthritis, asthma, chronic pain, anxiety, Lyme disease, or being the caregiver of another, our Live Well workshops can help you change your life and live it WELL!
