Still A Few Openings For Nov. 16 Seasonal Influenza Vaccinations
The Westport Weston Health District has a limited supply of influenza (flu) vaccine and has one open clinic scheduled for Monday November 16, 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm which still has opening. If more vaccine becomes available, additional clinics will be scheduled.
Due to COVID-19 concerns, walk-in appointments cannot be accepted. All appointments must be scheduled in advance using the self-scheduling appointment program that can be found on the WWHD website.
To schedule an appointment please go to www.WWHD.org and follow the appoint link : https://westportwestonhealthdistrict.setmore.com/resourcebookingpage/rfb241568034464603/bookappointment
A dose of regular vaccine costs $50.00; the High Dose (recommended for ages 65+) costs $90.00
The WWHD accepts the following insurance:
Medicare, ConnectiCare, Cigna, Aetna, and HUSKY.
We also will accept pre-payments via credit card, check, or cash.
The Westport Weston Health District continues its over 30-year tradition of offering flu clinic vaccinations by offering the most protective flu vaccines currently on the market, given by experienced nurses. Studies have shown the high dose vaccine is safe and more effective for seniors than the regular vaccine, however, the Centers for Disease Control does not express a preference for any flu vaccine.
