On Monday, June 20th, the Westport Weston Health District and the Westport Public Library co-sponsored a presentation regarding mosquito and tick borne illnesses worldwide.
Dr. Kirby Stafford, Vice Director, Chief Entomologist, and State Entomologist of the CT Agricultural Experiment Station (CAES) addressed the prevalence of mosquito and tick borne diseases throughout the world, the local picture in Connecticut and the US, and how residents can help to
control the spread of disease by controlling mosquitoes and ticks, and how to avoid being bitten.
